Here is a video and photo of our visitor that slept in the garage last night. He was so happy to see us this morning. He still scares the crap out of me because I'm not sure how he was raised. He certainly seems docile but ya never know if they have that "mean streak" he might have been taught. Better safe than sorry.
Just look at that smile!!
So we pull into our driveway open the garage door and make our way to the door. I turn around and scream AHHHHHHH! To be face on with a freakin' rottweiler! That thing came out of nowhere and it's HUGE! I'm kinda scared of big dogs and Will not knowing whether its going to bite one of us opened the door quickly and tried to lure it out of the garage. He was unsuccessful. But he is man's best friend! This dog hopped and jumped on Will like he was its owner! But I was still leery because of the bad rap that rottweilers got.
Will closes the garage after looking to see if someone on our street owns him and there was no one. I walk into the kitchen and see this huge animal look at me through our patio window in the backyard and once again I screamed. I wasn't expecting it to get from the front to the back at all haha. I thought for sure it would have run off.
Anyway, he's sleeping in our garage tonight because we called the SPCA and they are dealing with a few RCMP related issues and not sure if they will make it in tonight but they told us it was okay to keep him in our garage and they will send someone out ASAP first thing in the morning.
I feel so bad for the big guy though. He stood in our window crying and whining. Will fed him and I think he ate more than Roxy has in the last month! He's very hungry and thirsty right now. I feel so bad for him :(.
My post op appointment went well and my shopping trip was long, but successful. Will tell more tomorrow.
Maybe I can get a photo of the big fella. When someone looks at him it looks like he's smiling at us! His tongue is out and his mouth is as wide as his head. He's a cutie all right!
One thing that pisses me off. Why didin't his owner put a collar on him? or tattoo his ear? He looks like he's well taken care of except for this very small but HUGE thing.
Roxy had so much fun in the snow yesterday but she could barely get through it because it was as high as her! She had to hop to get around. Here is a video of her "hopping through the snow" with Ashley :).
It's just not stopping! Yes, that's our car at the bottom of the driveway stuck haha. We somehow, made it out of the driveway earlier today. It was a challenge and probably took us about 1/2 hour. The car was sideways in our driveway at some point but Will managed to get us out of the driveway but then we had the challenge of going up the street! That was interesting as well. We couldn't stop or we'd get stuck. That's Ashley and Will shovelling the driveway.
Promise Yourself
Promise yourself to be so strong
that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness and prosperity
to every person you meet. To make all your
friends feel that there is something in them.
To look at the sunny side of everything and
make your optimism come true. To think of
only the best, to work for only the best and
expect only the best. To be just as enthusiastic
about the successes of others as you are about
your own. To forget the mistakes of the past and
press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and
give every living creature you meet a smile. To give
so much time to the improvement of yourself that
have no time to criticize others. To be too large
for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear and
too happy to permit the presence of trouble.

I cut up over half of each and put it in a container for my brother to take home hahaha. I don't want that sitting around in my fridge! Yes, I am a mean wife and mother but my daughter and husband will understand....for now. I promise we'll be eating a lot of good food once November 18th has come and gone ;)
